| I furnish a blade sharpener that can be adjusted
to any blade angle. The necessity for the precision and hardness of
the blade is critical since the edge of the blade translates the precision
of the profiler to the cane blank. The sharpened blade edge which
is made of cobalt steel is square to the sides of the blade within
.003 of an inch. |

Since the cutting head is like a wood
plane, I have designed a sole plate that precedes the blade instead
of the commonly used dowel bar on other profilers. This is in combination
with a flat spring. Both of these attachments to the cutting head
produce an efficient planing operation that is smoother and more precise
than the conventional arrangements on other profilers. |

| The projected price for the profiler,
specially fitted shaper, indicator, verifier/locator, sharpener, and
a detailed manual has not yet been established. It will probably be
in the range of $4200. I am investigating the possibility of providing
a specially fitted solid walnut case for all the equipment. |
| In order for the purchaser to be able
to exploit the multiple possibilities of the unique features of this
profiler/shaper, I will require each purchaser to come to my location
in Los Angeles for my personal instructions regarding its use. |
